First time visiting Salt Spring Island, and we decided to grab some fish and chips for lunch. My wife and I had an incredible meal—the fish and chips, tacos, cod, salmon, and chowder were all outstanding. JFK from Bermuda was fantastic, making sure we had a great experience. Kudos to him! We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Salt Spring Island!

This place was such a delight after a hot day on the island of exploring and swimming in the ocean. The service was fast for such a small place, and the staff was friendly. I ordered two halibut tacos and they were absolutely delicious. The halibut was fresh and crispy, the coleslaw was tasty and refreshing...it was simply the perfect taco to end a day on the island. And so filling! Not to mention that we had great views of the harbor sitting on the patio, and the reggae playlist really elevated the vacation vibe. I finished off my meal with some soft serve and it was summer bliss. Truly a hidden gem of Saltspring!

The chef, JFK at Fishery was an absolute delight and took our experience to a 5. Had some wonderful stories about Bermuda. Fish and chips was decent, wish there was a bit more coleslaw instead of a ton of fries. We really enjoyed the prawn coconut curry with rice and papadam. Our friend thought the Clam Chowder was one of the best he’d ever had. Seating is limited with a nice touch of blankets to stay cozy.

Had the fish and chips and the chowder, and wow! both were absolutely amazing. Crispy, golden batter, flaky fish, and the chowder was creamy, rich, and full of flavour. Easily some of the best I’ve had. If you’re in the mood for comfort food done right, this spot’s a must.

Stopped in at the Fishery & Chips for our last night on Salt Spring and so glad we did! Food was amazing! Best fish tacos and Cod dinner was great too. Angela was so nice and brought our pup Lola water and even salmon treats. Nice view, cut little patio, what more could you want.

Excellent fish and chips joint! Love the interior seating area — something of a canopy interior, really great. Fish is absolutely fresh and delicious. Views of the harbour are amazing.

I recently tried the clam chowder here, and it was absolutely incredible! I ordered only a 24oz clam chowder to share. The soup was rich and creamy, with the perfect balance of tender clams and assorted mixed vegetables. The seasoning was spot on—not too salty, and with just the right amount of herbs to bring out the natural taste of the clams. It was the perfect comfort food on a chilly day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic, delicious clam chowder. I’ll definitely be back for more! Shoutouts to Angela & JFK making our experience awesome!
